Hong Kong. The election were to have taken place on September 6th but the Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, postponed them for one year.

Anti Government protest in Hong Kong, erupted last year as opposing to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), for tightening control over the former British Colony.

The protest continues till date, as the election was supposed to be held on September 6th but the Chief Executive, Carrie Lam, has postponed them for one year, on July 31st.

The Government blamed coronavirus and its rapid rise in the cases but the critics thinks otherwise. The critics said that her oppositions would gain seats if voting went ahead of schedule.

289 people have been arrested so far.
Due to coronavirus and tough security laws the demonstration has been demolished but small group still takes it to the street.
